KHS Celebrates 2016 Path Through History with 4th grade art show
On Saturday, June 18, 2016 the Knox Historical Society hosted an art show in the Knox Town Hall. Under the direction of Berne-Knox-Westerlo art teacher Colleen Skiff, BKW 4th grade students had chosen famous Americans or Colonial-era farmers and painted their subjects working cooperatively in groups. These large cardboard murals were on display for the community as part of our celebration of NYS Path through History Weekend. Pictured above on the left is 4th grade artist Alanna Yandon and the cows she painted to portray farm life. Elizabeth Wagoner, on the right, is pictured with the horse she painted. Both students spoke about farm life in colonial days. A slide show of the program is below.
